We're Excited To Have You On The Show!
In order to make sure this is a great experience for your and the subscribers to the show, here are some technical tips & tricks to make sure we get the best sounding episode that we can!
(I know you don't need to be reminded. This is for the other people. We're including here just to be thorough..)
- Make sure you're in a quiet environment for the conversation.
- Make sure you're in a safe environment for the conversation. This means no driving and talking. (Yes, there's a story behind this. No you don't get to hear it.)
- It's best if you have a standalone microphone. If you're a full time pro, you probably already have one. Awesome let's use it! If you don't have one, the built in mic on your laptop is ok and an easy way to get better audio for the podcast is to fire up a voice memo on your phone. You'd be surprised how good the quality can be. It would be a huge help if you're prepared to have that going during our chat if you don't have an established setup.
- Make sure you have earbuds or headphones. This is non-negotiable, and we'll be weird about it. Relying on the external computer speakers means you run the risk of having garbled audio and that means we can't air your episode. That means you wasted your time. Headphones/earbuds are essential to make sure we avoid it.
That's it for the technical stuff. Now to the scheduling details.
